Deconstructing iconic silhouettes and transforming classic sneakers into ultra-breathable, lightweight shoes, the collection has been stripped to its core essentials — layers of reinforcement have been removed and heavy materials done away with. Spacer mesh is used to create pockets of space between the upper materials to allow for increased airflow.
Additional innovations include taped seams, moisture-wicking linings, open-mesh uppers, elastic laces, soft heel counters and natural motion tooling. Consisting of the Air Max Light Breathe, Air Max 90 Breathe and Air Max 1 Breathe, the Air Max Breathe collection will be available at Nike and select retailers beginning May 1.As we go into a full month of Nike Air Max celebration, we present the exciting new Nike Air Max 1 Ultra “City” Collection. Nike presents the iconic running shoe is six vibrant floral colorways, each influenced by distinct fashion capitals – London, Milan, New York, Paris, Shanghai and Tokyo. Overall three patterns have been developed for the collection, each coming in two colorways, representing local flowers and distinct heritage. Roses and lilies stand for New York and Paris, while London and Tokyo come in a mixed roses and cherry blossoms pattern. The Milan and Shanghai Nike Air Max 1 Ultra comes with a pattern made of lilies and plum blossoms.
The Women’s Nike Sportswear Spring 2015 City Collection will be available in North America, online at nike.com/sportswear and at select Nike Sportswear retailers beginning April 11. The Nike Air Max BW “USA” releases on July 7 at select retailers, including Sneaker Politics.
